2021 Fall Hockey Initiation Program

Welcome

WELCOME TO THE JERSEY SHORE ARENA REGISTRATION SYSTEM!

For beginner players, from ages 5 to 14,  who have had some basic skating lessons and are ready to learn to play hockey.  Please enter your skater information and select the appropriate skill level. To select level 2, your skater must have completed level 1, and to select level 3, your skater must have completed level 2.

 

You may pay by credit card, debit card or by check. If you pay by check, your registration is not complete and skater not permitted to start the program until your check has been received. Checks must be mailed or taken to: Jersey Shore Arena,  1215 Wyckoff Rd, Farmingdale, NJ 07727.

 

For payment by check, when you get to the Shopping Cart screen, under the Payment Options heading, in the box that defaults to "Pay in Full", click it and change to "Pay Offline", and complete the registration so that you get a confirmation. Your registration will not be saved unless you complete it.

 

For Online payments, at the Shopping Cart screen, the system will default to Online payment and you can continue to the next screen to pay. A processing fee of 2.9% plus $1.00 will be added.

 

**IF YOU CHOOSE TO PAY BY CREDIT CARD AT THE FRONT DESK A 3% PROCESSING FEE WILL BE APPLIED TO YOUR BILL**

Learn to Play Hockey Registration

General Information 
The Jersey Shore Arena is proud to present the Hockey Initiation Program. This inexpensive, group setting program is open to skaters from Preschool thru age 14. This program is a progressive curriculum designed to introduce skaters to the game’s basic skills. Skaters will reinforce previously taught skating skills, learn passing the puck, puck control & shooting. Skaters learn by participating in practice drills & informal scrimmages under the direction of the Jersey Shore Arena coaching staff.

Program Objectives

 

To have fun 

To build on & refine previously learned skating skills

To learn the skills required to play the game of hockey

To learn teamwork, cooperation & fair play

 

Please note: Students must have completed either Learn to Skate Hockey 2 or Basic Skills 2, be able skate forward, backward, stop and do forward cross overs.

The following hockey equipment is required to participate: Hockey Skates, Helmet, Gloves, Pants, Elbow Pads, Shoulder Pads, Shin Guards, Hockey Stick & Mouth Piece
